As 2013 draws to a close, I really can only sum it up as the year of GAS!

The social media, hype and extent that people go to to portray a complete farce of a lifestyle has reached new levels, yes, there’s levels to this shit!

Has anyone else realised that the internet has given megaphones to people you would never usually give the time of day? Don’t worry i’ll include myself in that mix. We seem to be a nation of people who don’t want to seem impolite, and must ‘follow back’ to keep each other happy. Honestly scrolling down my timeline, I think to myself, why? If the same people were to call me talking the same rubbish they spew on twitter I wouldn’t listen, I would promptly make my excuses and hang up. After the release of instagram I thought that this would be free of the gas that people pumped on out on twitter, but no, it’s worse, much worse, because of course a picture is worth more than 1000 words, and twitter only gives us 140 characters. Now there’s an epidemic of fakers, I hope that they have all read The Secret and are just trying to live how they would WANT to live, but I doubt this is the case. The amount of Louboutins, Cars, Food and Selfies are one thing, but now these can’t be trusted! Now some instagrammers have to put watermarks on their pics because there are picture thieves out there! Is your life that shit?? Now you have to steal another persons gas??! Insta is rife with picture pillagers, pretending they’re ’bout that life’

And guys, no selfie is guaranteed to be the genuine article, before it was only the filters we had to worry about, now there are a multitude of apps to even skin tone, change eye colour, take in that waist and widen that booty.

I can only hope that these gas bags will explode, stop with the bullshit pictures of cribs when you’re living at your mums, stop taking pictures of michelin star food, when you’re munching fish-fingers, stop taking pics of your big whip, when was the last time you drove it? show me a pic of the petrol gauge of that same car……

Lets make 2014 real, If you’re making it rain, it better be a pic of you watering flowers and when you take a pic of all your bags, they better say Tesco!

Bad Blogger!

I’m soooo bad but i’m back on blogging mode!

Apparently i’m not the only one acting up, Mr West has been at it again!

Unlike Kanye I had a great weekend, I got to perform at Wireless festival with afrobeats star Wizkid! He smashed with his performance which included ‘Don’t Dull’ and ‘Tease Me’ the UK is definitely feeling afrobeats this summer. Check out clips of the performance HERE 

 

Miguel and Trey songz put on great performances, got to meet the guys as well,

Justin Timberlake also put on an awesome show with surprise guest Jay Z performing on stage with him. JT showed he wasn’t too big a star to queue in the artist canteen lol even though he had his own personal Nandos in his compound!

The highlight of my day however was watching Snoop and then getting to meet him, he’s so cool, his dressing room was where the party was at!

 

I have to say I wasn’t to keen when Rita Ora jumped onstage with him, and I didn’t quite understand her outfit…. reminded me of an old skool xmas decoration?

Original Creator of Matrix & Terminator Wins $2.5 Billion In Lawsuit

After a six year dispute, prolific writer and profound spiritualist, Sophia Stewart has received justice for copyright infringement and racketeering and will finally recover damages from the films, The Matrix I, II and III, as well as The Terminator and its sequels. Yes, you heard that correctly – the entire Matrix & Terminator franchises, and her suspected pay off is expected to be the highest in history – an estimated 2.5 billion.

Her case is a true landmark, and far too uncommon as countless creatives are exploited by the snake-like dealings of the movie industry. Here’s a recap of her triumphant journey by way of George2.0:

“Stewart filed her case in 1999, after viewing the Matrix, which she felt had been based on her manuscript, ‘The Third Eye,’ copyrighted in 1981. In the mid-eighties Stewart had submitted her manuscript to an ad placed by the Wachowski Brothers, requesting new sci-fi works.

According to court documentation, an FBI investigation discovered that more than thirty minutes had been edited from the original film, in an attempt to avoid penalties for copyright infringement. The investigation also stated that ‘credible witnesses employed at Warner Brothers came forward, claiming that the executives and lawyers had full knowledge that the work in question did not belong to the Wachowski Brothers.’ These witnesses claimed to have seen Stewart’s original work and that it had been ‘often used during preparation of the motion pictures.’ The defendants tried, on several occasions, to have Stewart’s case dismissed, without success.

Stewart has confronted skepticism on all sides, much of which comes from Matrix fans, who are strangely loyal to the Wachowski Brothers. One on-line forum, entitled Matrix Explained has an entire section devoted to Stewart. Some who have researched her history and writings are open to her story.”

Although it’s long overdue, and buried in large part by the media machine, Stewart has finally received official credit (and hopefully financial settlement by 2009) for her prodigious contributions to both Hollywood, and the world for her ground breaking sagas, both the Matrix & Terminator franchises. Let us hope that this landmark ruling provides a measure of hope for other ripped off screenwriters seeking justice even if only by way of public recognition.

To echo her 2004 victorious press release:

‘The Matrix & Terminator movie franchises have made world history and have ultimately changed the way people view movies and how Hollywood does business, yet the real truth about the creator and creation of these films continue to elude the masses because the hidden secret of the matter is that these films were created and written by a Black woman…a Black woman named Sophia Stewart. But Hollywood does not want you to know this fact simply because it would change history. Also it would encourage our Black children to realize a dream and that is…nothing is impossible for them to achieve!’

We’d like to believe that the justice she received was not in name only, and she is able to reap the benefits of her enormous creative contributions.

Where beef was settled in a straight battle not on twitter, where if you where shot, well you were shot, not shot at and missed as is the case now lol

A time when you would actually have to worry about certain crews being in the same recording studio and genuinely having it out with each other, not just scrapping aimlessly over parking spaces.

Heidi Montag, one half of Speidy

So another Celeb Big brother has begun and what caught my eye was the addition of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. Well actually they’re married so she must be Heidi Pratt now. Any way in case you’re insure of why they’re famous in the US they starred in LA based reality show The Hills. Basically what Made in Chelsea and The Only Way is Essex is modelled on.

I’m not gunna go into the details of it but Heidi was best friends with another girl Lauren Conrad and the show was based on them and their life in the LA, enter Spencer who caused the demise of their friendship.

They’re relationship is creepy to say the least, but u can watch the back catalogue of the Hills online and judge for yourself. What i’m more interested in is whats happened to Heidi… physically. She went from girl next door to plastic Barbie doll. I saw the change during the Hills and there was a point where she looked perfect, so beautiful but of course the obsession for perfection must not have stopped because it would seem that she continued with the surgeries.

She has had had to toe surgery at least 10 procedures including mini brow lift, butt augmentation and chin reduction. I just think that any surgery on the face just seems to make everyone look exactly the same, the more surgery the more they all get a certain kind of look??

Azealia Banks Vs Angel Haze #RoastBeefSunday

Even the girls are going for it!

Azelia Banks and Angel Haze embarked in a spat on Twitter after Azelia tweeted that those who aren’t born in New York should no claim to be New Yorkers. The tweet did not seem to be directed at anyone in particular but Angel Haze seemed to take offence to this, maybe because she has a track called ‘New York’. Angel then exploded on twitter threatening to “shank” Azelia and then called her a charcoal-skinned b*tch!

They both then took to the studio, check out the dis tracks below:

Because of this she has now released ‘Shut the F**k Up

Azelia then dropped this, ‘No Problems’, which she says is not a diss track, she just used the energy from the spat to write the track.
